I was using the "Tiered List" style and modified it for numbering. However, I could not find a way to save any paragraph spacing to the style and into my style library.
I basically want to change the paragraph before and after spacing so that list items are close together. However, there doesn't appear to be able to save that within the Tiered List (renamed to a custom name) style. I have to adjust the para spacing for each and every paragraph manually!
Is there a way to save paragraph and font settings with the List style?

G'day, Chris et al
It doesn't appear that one can alter paragraph spacing of List Items in the Style Sheet itself.
But a simple Macro will do the trick:–
Format:Lists:Tiered List
Set Paragraph Spacing After 4
Format:Font:All Fonts:Monaco
Format:Size:14
Save this as a Macro. Then you can simply write your list as a sequence of paragraphs, select those paragraphs in their entirety, and then run the Macro.
Instead of "Tiered List" you can put any other List Style you want. You can alter the numerals as you see fit; same goes for the font.
Cheers,
Adrian

Re: Paragraph Spacing in List Style
I think you can't create a List Style with a Paragraph style. However, you can easily create a Paragraph style with a List Style! — I see Adrian has already provided a solution. Here is another approach:agilefalcon wrote: ↑2025-02-19 16:20:29 Is there a way to save paragraph and font settings with the List style?
1. Create a new paragraph style from the Format menu. Nisus will switch to the Style Sheet.
2. Give the new paragraph style a meaningful name.
3. Select the sample text that previews the new paragraph style, and use the palettes to adjust the space before and after. Then, while the sample text is still being selected, add your List Style to the new paragraph style.
I'm not sure why you would want to do that. Selecting all the numbered paragraphs and then adjust spaces in one go would seem the natural way to do this, in case you don't want to create a new paragraph style.I have to adjust the para spacing for each and every paragraph manually!
