Nisus Writer pro - help for payment for

Post by rabbijacobs »

Hi,

I’m working on a non fiction book.

I’m looking for someone familiar with Nisus Writer Pro who I can hire to help me using the writing software itself.

In other words someone who’s familiar with the book publishing capabilities.

For example the style sheets, headers, new chapter beginnings.

I'd help if I could. Time is an issue right now. I've got my pesky 8-5 job and a lot of my own writing to do in my spare time, if "spare" and "time" can coexist in a single sentence.

It sounds like the problem areas are related to how your manuscript will look. That should almost be an afterthought. Get your book written in anything. Nisus Writer Pro is very capable but isn't the only choice. You can take care of aesthetics later.

You may find no word processor will do everything you need. Desktop publishing will be the answer. Apple Pages is surprisingly capable. Affinity by Canva is very nice. Lots of pro layout work is done in Affinity. The current standard is Adobe inDesign. It's expensive and may not offer anything you couldn't do in Affinity, which is free.

Desktop publishing isn't where you want to write, even if it's what you need for appearances, so find an environment where you can get the words down. The rest is just appearances.

Just my opinions, of course.

Good luck with your book.
