Styles changing in midstream

I am going nuts learning styles in NWE! I have a nisus new file with normal styles set at 14 pt. I import some text from another document which is at 12. When I then try to assign the normal style to this text, the normal style reverts to 12. What am I doing wrong???

Do you mean save changes in the document, as in command-S? Yes. But I loose the style in the midst of working with the styles.

As I understand it, you have a Normal style in your Nisus New File whose font size is set to 14 pts. You then open up an existing document and the Normal style is set at 12 pts. Is this correct? If so, then there is nothing going wrong here, since styles in different files are completely independent. Eg: the Normal style in your Nisus New File only affects new documents you create.

If you want to import your Normal style into an existing document you will want to copy paste it. Just visit your stylesheet, select Normal and copy it. Then switch to the other document and paste it.
