Is it possible to have two parallel columns in Nisus Pro in that after typing a line in the first column one can move the cursor to the second column. I wonder if such a move can be accomplished through the use of a macro.
I will appreciate any solution to this issue.

I'm sorry but Nisus Writer does not directly offer a parallel columns feature. We do have a feature for snaking document section columns, but that wraps text from one column into another at the bottom of the page. That won't help you with parallel columns.
You might accomplish something like parallel columns using table cells. The problem with that is single non-spanning table cells cannot be split between pages. That may or may not be a problem for you, depending on your needs and document's structure.
