Straight Quotes

So, if I use typographer quotes but need a hash mark (' or "), what is the proper keyboard combo to put this in my document?

If you rarely use straight quotes the easiest is to simply use an Undo after the conversion. Eg: after a straight quote is automatically converted to a smart/curly/typographer quote, press Command-Z or use the menu Edit > Undo. If you always want straight quotes, then you should adjust your Nisus Writer preferences (under QuickFix) so the automatic smartening no longer occurs.
