Deleting tab in list styles

I'm trying to create a figure caption style of the type Figure #.<space> to be followed by the caption. The list styles all include tabs after this and I don't like the large, and variably sized space that it introduces. Is there any way to delete that tab?

I'm afraid not. List style items will always include the tab marker.
