How can I change the insertion point marker’s colour?

In the Preferences window choose the Appearance icon. Then follow these instructions from page 291 in the NWP Help document.
"Change the color of the insertion point
1. Choose Selection from the Customizable Colors column.
2. Choose Selection caret from the Selection column.
3. Click the Selection caret color swatch
4. Select whatever color you want from the Colors panel which opens as illustrated in Figure 88 on
page 105."

Thanks ProfT. Another trick: you can press the Enter key to briefly flash the location/line of the caret. The color of that flash is also configurable, though I find the bright yellow default color works perfectly.
