Change line spacing/height in footnotes?

While I'm happy with the single spacing in the body of the text (which adds an additional line of the 'normal' height), I'd like to reduce that a bit in my footnotes.

I'm using this very message as an example. The space between the preceding line and this one is fine in the text, but can someone give me instructions as to how to make the distance between the above paragraph and this one about 2/3 of what it now is?

That shouldn't be too difficult. All footnotes in your document will automatically have a Note style applied. Usually this style is called simply "Footnote" (though any name is possible). Whatever that Note style may be called, you will want to adjust this style so it enforces the desired line height.

Visit your document's style sheet (eg: use the menu View > Style Sheet), select the Note style, and then simply adjust the line spacing. You can set the line height to any fraction/multiple of the line height, eg: you might try a multiple of "1.6"
