Greetings,
I am a new user. The trial suggested to me that I'm going to like the power of and stability of NWP a lot.
But I don't like the tacky icons. I'd rather use keyboard equivalents or the menus if I forget. So I'd prefer to turn off the toolbar, permanently.
Can I save the NWP window chrome state somehow? That is, turn off the toolbar and leave it turned off when I next open NWP?
I guess there maybe a macro route (is there?) but I thought I'd ask, first, if there's a preference setting.
[I'd like to turn off the status bar icons, too. They're just as icky, distracting and unnecessary. But extinguishing the status bar doesn't seem to be possible.]
Thank you,
P

Wonderful– thanks for giving NWP a try! We hope you enjoy the trial.peterwgallagher wrote:I am a new user. The trial suggested to me that I'm going to like the power of and stability of NWP a lot.
Absolutely. You'll be able to customize the state of new documents in the "New File" preference pane. There you'll find a host of options related to the state of new documents. If you don't see a particular option listed, you can go one step further by opening the "Nisus New File" template via the "Advanced" area. You can edit any part of the template, just as you would a regular document.I'd rather use keyboard equivalents or the menus if I forget. So I'd prefer to turn off the toolbar, permanently.

That's correct: you cannot customize the status bar.I'd like to turn off the status bar icons, too. They're just as icky, distracting and unnecessary. But extinguishing the status bar doesn't seem to be possible.
