I have just started to assemble three large documents into a single document. I am part way through this but one, and now two, empty pages have appeared that I can't get rid of.
Apart from the page number in the footer there is nothing on the page and if I try to insert new text at the bottom of the previous page,it immediately misses the page and goes to the next but one.
Has anyone encountered this before, and is there a solution?

That sounds strange. I was going to suggest that you check your section breaks, to see if you have any sections set to start on an even or odd page, but if you can't insert text that flows to fill the empty pages, it sounds like that's not the problem.
One quick idea: close and reopen the document. Maybe there's some kind of temporary pagination error that generated the empty pages? If that doesn't fix the problem, could you please send us (or post) the document so we can take a look?
