Select text and word count in all tracked changes
While it is not likely that you would do this, you can check the statistics (word count, etc.) in your tracked changes, but you need to select the text in the track changes windoid to do so.
1. Click your insertion point in the change you want to check.
2. Select the text you want to check.
The Info portion of the Status Bar and the Statistics palette indicate the count in the selection.
If you want to get a count of all the text in all your tracked changes you need to select them all first.
1. Click your insertion point in any tracked change.
2. Choose the menu command: Edit > Select All.
3. Choose the menu command: Edit > Select All.
Choosing the same menu command (Select All) twice selects all the text in all the tracked changes.
In addition the Info portion of the Status Bar and the Statistics palette indicate the count in the selection.
You can copy all that selected content and paste it elsewhere. Though, if you want to put the selected text in a new document, there is a more direct method as explained in the section “Export All Tracked Changes…” on page 524.
